Exactly at midnight, the rain started on palm leaves, in front of my window sirens and firecrackers went silent, thunder is heard

I lay down at nine in the evening, shut down the lights, pulled sheet, their joy, their happiness, their screams, their paper hats, their cars, their women, their dabbler in drinking, New Year is always scares me,

life nothing knows about years, now trumpets and firecrackers and thunder gone silent, all last 5 minutes,

I hear only the rain on palm leaves and think, I will never understand people, and nevertheless I survived…
