Carl Gustav JungThe functions of consciousness refer to the different ways in which the conscious mind can apprehend reality. According to Jung, these are (a) Sensation, (b) Intuition, (c) Thinking and (d) Feeling. And two modes: Extroverted and Introverted.

8 different basic types of human (people):

Fe Extraverted Feeling
Fi Introverted Feeling
Ne Extraverted Intuition
Ni Introverted Intuition
Se Extraverted Sensing
Si Introverted Sensing
Te Extraverted Thinking
Ti Introverted Thinking
