  1. David Paul Cronenberg (1943) – Canadian filmmaker and screenwriter. He is one of the principal originators of what is commonly known as the body horror or venereal horror genre. This style of filmmaking explores people’s fears of bodily transformation and infection. In his films, the psychological is typically intertwined with the physical. In the first half of his career, he explored these themes mostly through horror and science fiction, although his work has since expanded beyond these genres. He has been called “the most audacious and challenging narrative director in the English-speaking world
  2. Eva Jacqueline Longoria (1975) – American actress, best known for portraying Gabrielle Solis on the ABC television series Desperate Housewives. Longoria received a nomination for the 2006 Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her performance on Desperate Housewives
  3. “Harry” James (1916) - American musician and bandleader. James was an instrumentalist of the swing era, employing a bravura playing style that made his trumpet work identifiable.   5. Sly Stone (1943) – American musician, songwriter, and record producer, most famous for his role as frontman for Sly & the Family Stone, a band which played a critical role in the development of soul, funk and psychedelia in the 1960s and 1970s
  6. Michael Edward “Mike” Love (1941) – American singer/songwriter and musician with The Beach Boys. He formed the band along with his cousins Brian, Carl, and Dennis Wilson, and their friend Al Jardine
  7. Sam John Hopkins (1912), better known as Lightnin’ Hopkins, was an American country blues singer, songwriter and guitarist, from Houston, Texas. Rolling Stone magazine included Hopkins at number 71 on their list of the 100 greatest guitarist of all time
  8. Phillip Chapman Lesh (1940) – musician and a founding member of the Grateful Dead, with whom he played bass guitar throughout their 30-year career
  9. Bret Michaels (1963) – American musician, actor, director, screenwriter, producer and reality television personality. He first gained fame as the lead vocalist of the glam metal band Poison. Besides his career as lead singer, he has several solo albums to his credit, as well as one chart single. He appeared in the VH1 reality show Rock of Love with Bret Michaels and its sequels, and as a judge on the talent show Nashville Star. He was the winning contestant on NBC’s reality show Celebrity Apprentice 3
  10. Jon Ryan Schaffer (1968) – heavy metal guitarist and songwriter. He is the founder of the heavy metal band Iced Earth. He was nominated for the title “Riff Lord” at the 2008 Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards
