PARANMANJANG (Night Fishing) is the short film shot entirely on iphone by famous South Korea Film Director Chan-wook Park. The film runs for approximately 30 minutes and it was shot solely on an i-Phone and only cost $133,000.
“Paranmanjang,” which means a “life full of ups and downs” in Korean, is about a man transcending his current and former lives. He catches a woman while fishing in a river in the middle of the night. They both end up entangled in the line and he thinks she is dead. Suddenly, though, she wakes up, strangles him and he passes out. When the woman awakens him, she is wearing his clothing and he hers. She cries and calls him “father.”
iPhone 4 was required, but also a team of 40 people, cinema spots, a rail dollies, cranes and especially a clever installation that allows an iPhone to graft a target of SLR definitely helps to get a picture clear, precise or effects such as fisheye. Besides, of course, with production work manifest image (black and white, various visual effects) or the talent of the filmmaker .
